I would really like your advise i have a Samyang 8mm f3.5 not shaved with a Canon 450D and Nodal Ninja R1 mounted on a Manfrotto Mono Pod.

Could you tel me what would be the best work flow and setup to do for this setup.

I have adjusted the exposure ring on lens to F8 for sunny days and focus ring to infinity ~ NOT SURE WHAT THE BEST SETTING IS FOR FOCUS as i want to tape it down once correct. also then set camera on manual and set the ISO to 200 native to camera i believe.

I use pt gui pro to stitch images and set focal size to 8mm

Please advise.

focus to infinity. take a shot. focus at 3m. take a shot focus at 1mm. take as shot.

examine shots. choose sharpest one. :)

If you are taking focus test shots as suggested, set the lens wide open rather than f8 to limit the depth-of-field
